Welcome to the Mind-Skin Rituals.

Together with No7, we have created 6 free mind-skin rituals to help you navigate through menopause. This partnership has helped create a pioneering approach to skincare and mindcare. We believe that self-care shouldn’t be another thing that you add to your to-do list, and that’s exactly why we’ve created these rituals to embed into your everyday skincare routine. In our study, over 87% of women found easy to fit the Mind-skin rituals in their daily routine.

Each of our rituals includes elements of applying skincare, massage & relaxation and hypnotherapy to create this holistic experience. 

Let us guide you through each of the rituals to describe when they’re best to use, how they can help you and what techniques we’ve included to support you. 


Our Morning Rituals

We’ve designed two rituals to get your morning started. You have the choice of our Confidence or Clarity rituals depending on what you need most that day. Discover more about each ritual below and give them a go. 

The Confidence Ritual - 4 minutes: For when you’re in need of a confidence boost

The confidence ritual is designed to empower you to seize the day and shine. It encourages the belief that you control how you show up each day. It inspires you to feel more positive about what the day may bring.

The Clarity Ritual - 4 minutes: For when you’re in need of focus

The Clarity ritual has been designed/aims to give you a time-out to help clear your mind and focus. It aims to encourage patience, calm and confidence so that thoughts and words will come together.

We recommend using these rituals….

Whenever you’re applying your morning skincare. They’re the perfect wake-up ritual to set you up for your day ahead. We’ve designed the rituals to be used with No7 Protect & Hydrate Day Cream or No7 Instant Radiance Serum. When you select the Confidence or Clarity Ritual, you’ll have the option of using either serum or day cream for your massage. 

What’s included in the rituals….

Both rituals will start with a guided facial massage that has been designed to work in conjunction with No7 Protect & Hydrate Day Cream and Instant Radiance Serum. 
The ritualistic movements used in the rituals can encourage the natural lymphatic flow. Poor lymphatic flow can be responsible for congestion and puffiness. Pressure should be light and fluid - over stimulating the skin could result in redness.

Following the facial massage, the hypnotherapist runs through a series of positive statements to repeat out loud to encourage positivity and confidence. 

How to get the most out of this ritual…

We recommend using these rituals at least 3x week for a month and then as and when needed.

Our ‘Anytime You Need Them’ Rituals 

These two rituals have been designed for you to use at any time - day or night. You have the choice of our Cooling or Calming rituals and both have been designed to be used with the No7 Cooling Face Mist. Discover more about each ritual below and give them a go. 

Cooling Ritual - 4 minutes: For when (you guessed it) you need to cool down! 

The Cooling Ritual has been designed and proven to help women regain a sense of control after a hot flush by helping to calm the mind and cool the skin. We use deep breaths throughout the ritual with the hypnotherapist guiding you with a “drop-through” technique to help bring you to a calmer state. The technique helps you see that you have control over the way you feel. 

Over 89% of women agreed that doing the “cooling ritual” helped them quickly regain a sense of control when feeling overwhelmed after a hot flush after their first use

Calming Ritual - 6 minutes: For when you need a moment of calm

The Calming ritual has been designed to help women take a deep breath and step back when feeling irritable and on edge. We use the deep breaths throughout the ritual, with the hypnotherapist guiding you through a technique called Spinning. This technique involves a guided visualisation which aims to calm the mind and body.

We recommend using these rituals….

Whenever you need them. They’re quick sessions that can be used at any time, as many times as you need. The Cooling ritual is perfect to listen to when you’re having a hot flush or when you just want to feel more cool, calm and collected. The ritual is designed so that you could feel the results after the first use; feeling cooler, calmer and more in control. And the Calming ritual is ideal to use as and when you need. 

Both rituals have been designed to be used alongside the  No7 Cooling Facial Mist and the rituals start by taking deep soothing breaths to help reduce tension in the body. 

Our Bedtime Rituals

To help bookend your day, we’ve created two rituals to help you at nighttime. You have the choice of our Get to Sleep or our Back to Sleep ritual to support you, whatever happens at night. Discover more about each ritual below and try them tonight:

Get to Sleep Ritual - 26 minutes: For when you’re preparing to sleep 

This ritual is designed to help you let go of everyday stress and prepare for a better night sleep. However, the session has also been designed to build on this to help you reframe the menopause and this phase of life by recognising the value of your experience and instils the belief that tomorrow is all within your control and you can make it whatever you want it to be. 

We found that women who used the “Get To Sleep” ritual with either the Face Serum or the Night Cream agreed that the ritual prepared them for a better night sleep and helped them feel calm and relaxed at the end of the day.

We recommend using this ritual….

When you’re applying your evening skincare for the ultimate wind-down. This ritual has been designed to be used with No7’s Nourishing Overnight Cream or No7’s Instant Radiance Serum. The ritual starts with a guided facial massage to help relax you. 
Throughout the day, our facial muscles are worked with every expression and emotion and can hold onto a lot of tension. The ritualistic movements help to relieve this tension and can encourage the natural lymphatic flow. Poor lymphatic flow can be responsible for congestion and puffiness. Pressure should be light and fluid - Over stimulating the skin could result in redness.

Following the guided facial massage, the hypnotherapist uses metaphor to help you let go of the everyday stress and worries of the day and then runs through a series of positive suggestions to help frame the menopause and this stage of your life.

Back to Sleep Ritual - 17 minutes: For those nights of disrupted sleep 

This ritual has been designed to help you cool the skin when experiencing a disrupted night so you can fall back to sleep.

When your sleep has been disrupted and you find yourself awake and hot. We’ve designed the session to be used alongside the No7 Cooling Facial Mist. The ritual starts with a progressive relaxation technique that guides you into imagining a cooling light passing over your body. Following the progressive relaxation technique, the hypnotherapist uses a guided visualisation to prepare you to fall back to sleep.
